I don't have time to train...
This is a classic line and one most coaches and trainers here every day. The question I always ask is ‘how much do you want it?’
There are 168 hours a week. Most people spend 49 hours per week asleep, 40 hours at work, an additional 3 hours travelling, 7 hours eating and drinking, 2 hours in the bathroom! This still leaves 67 hours. What is amazing is the average Briton spends 27 hours per week watching TV and 21 hours using our phones!
It is a question of self discipline and desire. If you really want to make changes in your race results and life generally you need to take control and commit to a structured training routine. This includes swim, bike run but also strength and conditioning and mobility work.
